Rule 80
Pedigree and academic instinct
(1) If any police officer becomes disabled due to an accident in the course of government work and is unable to work for the same reason, a maximum of two children of such disabled police employee shall be given a monthly stipend at the following rate:-
(a) Gazetted Police Officer – Rupees Two Hundred and Sixty (b) Gazetted Police – one hundred and twenty four rupees
(2) In the event of the death of a police officer under sub-rule (1), at most two children of such deceased police officer shall be given a monthly pension at the rate of the following percentage of the starting salary scale of the post held by the deceased police employee / percentage of the starting salary
(a) Deputy Inspector General of Police or Senior Superintendent of Police 8
(b) Superintendent of Police or Deputy Superintendent of Police 9
(c) Inspector of Police 10
(d) Deputy Inspector of Police 12
(3) In the case of a son or an unmarried daughter, the inheritance tax under sub-rule (1) shall be received until the age of twenty-one years or the date of entry into government service, whichever is earlier, and the inheritance tax under sub-rule (2) shall be received until the age of eighteen years.
(4) If a police employee becomes disabled due to an accident or dies in the course of government work, maximum two children of such disabled or deceased police employee shall be given an annual educational allowance at the following rate in addition to the stipend as per sub-rule (1) or (2) until they reach the age of eighteen years:- Position Qualification
(a) Gazetted Police Officer – Two thousand four hundred rupees (b) Gazetted police – one thousand eight hundred rupees.
